Week Thirty One
Growth of your baby begins to slow this week. The lungs are the only major organs that are not fully developed. The brain continues to develop rapidly. If your baby is a boy, his testes begin to descend from the body to the scrotum. The bones will harden and grow.
You may find that your tummy is aching more and more and uterus continues to stretch. There are approximately ten week left in your pregnancy.Continue to ensure that you are staying healthy by drinking plenty of water, getting plenty of sleep and ensuring that your diet is rich in calcium, protein, iron and folic acid.
Week Thirty Two
The baby now weighs around four pounds. Head hair continues to grow but the toe and finger nails are now fully formed. All five senses are functioning. If you are expecting multiples, their weight gain will be a little slower. The uterus is very crowded.
Your uterus is around thirteen centimetres above the naval and pushing your major organs in all directions. You may be suffering from heartburn, indigestion,, constipation and breathlessness. Try to eat frequent small meals and ensure that your intake of water and fibre is adequate to counteract these unpleasant symptoms. Braxton Hicks contractions may be getting stronger.
Week Thirty Three
Rapid growth of the brain now means that the babies head has grown to approximately one and a half centimetres. Fat accumulates under the skin which turns from red to pink.
You might find that you are gaining around a pound a week in weight,
You may suffer with headaches, swelling of the face, nausea vomiting, or seeing flashes or spots. These can all be symptoms or pre-eclampsia, which can be very serious, so contact your GP immediately. Pre-eclampsia is characterized by swelling, high blood pressure, and protein in the urine.
You may find your appetite decreasing as the uterus presses down on the stomach,
