What Are The First Steps In Teaching My Toddler To Read?

• Babies love words and language. Sing, read, tell stories, recite poems and nursery rhymes from an early age.  
• Try board books and bath books to help make reading fun. Theses are usually the first books children will come across. They will help children to hold books correctly, turn pages and learn about shapes and colours.
• Don’t be afraid to tell the same stories again and again. Repetition can build confidence and help children to become familiar with words
• Try to share books together each day,  A few minutes of regular time is more valuable then one long weekly session..
