Tania first trained as a nursery nurse by completing her N.N.E.B at The Norland College in 1992.  For several years she worked as a nanny with families looking after newborns and toddlers in their homes, both in London and New York.  She saw her role as a supportive advisor, helping parents develop and grow, and helping them settle in to family life. 

Tania moved back to London to commence her midwifery training at King’s College London, completing her Diploma in 1999 and her BSc in Midwifery in 2000.

Since qualifying Tania has worked in several London NHS hospitals and in the community.  She has worked on the antenatal, labour and postnatal wards, she ran antenatal clinics at GP surgeries, helped mothers give birth both at home and in hospital and visited new parents at home to check on the health and wellbeing of both the mother and baby.

Since 2002 Tania has developed and run antenatal classes and breastfeeding workshops for pregnant women and their partners, both in the community and in NHS hospitals, and  has given breastfeeding support to new mothers on the postnatal ward. She stills work in a NHS hospital in this role.

Tania has now setup Bump2Bubba, her own professional antenatal classes in Greenwich SE10.  The aim of her classes is to give realistic and up-to-date information to women and their birth partners so they can come away feeling excited and not daunted by the expectation of becoming a parent.  She gives honest information to help women trust their ability to give birth, and help birth partners become aware of ways they can make labour more comfortable, supportively encouraging parents-to-be as they prepare for the birth.
