What Is Assisted Reproductive Technology?

Eight thousand babies (1.5%  of all births) are now born every year by IVF. 3650 are born by ICSI (Intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection and many others through Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART)

Much Assisted Reproductive Technology is funded  by the couples concerned. The British Fertility Society have  been trying to influence and increase the number of assisted births funded by the NHS.  The implementation of NICE guidelines on fertility will mark  a major shift in making fertility treatments available to more couples.

Who Are The British Fertility Society?

 The British Fertility Society is a national multidisciplinary  organisation representing professionals practising in the field  of reproductive medicine.
